Pixsoul.com.au Complete

Well, I’ve been hard at work on the site this past week. I’ve finished the Design page, created a Photography page, installed some widgets (most obvious is the Twitter feed) and some changes to the layout and design. I’m very happy with the result, even if it is all a bit self-indulgent and wanky…but it’s a self promotional, professional blog; so why not!?

Now that I have finished the site and I have Windows Live Writer working with WordPress again, it’s time to get back to blogging. I’ve got some good posts stacking up about how to customise your iPhone ringtones without hacking it, activating tethering on an iPhone 3.0 without paying your provider or hacking it as well as a bunch of problems and fixes I have come across.

Check out the new pages above in the navigation tabs.

Pixsoulating The World

Now that all my computers are functioning, one of the next things on my list was to step up my own personal brand; Pixsoul. I’ve never had a consistent brand that I applied to everything I do such as websites, profiles, avatars etc. and it was about time I got organised and did it. I already had a logo, I just needed to create a loose style guide which I would apply to anywhere on the Internet that I had information about myself; ultimately so people know that what they are looking at is mine.

I’ve just applied the above logo (which is new!) as well as my main logo and some loose style guides to the following:

  • Favicon
  • Instant Messaging Avatars
  • Gaming Avatars
  • Email Signature
  • Online Profile Avatars

Now for some updates to the blog, I haven’t finished fleshing out the Design page and I want to add in a Photography gallery also with my favourite shots. Hopefully I can integrate this with some kind of gallery plugin, as I also need to upload the pictures and story of the ever eventful computer builds.

The new logo reminds me…I was supposed to book a driving lesson in this weekend, but I was too busy at work and kept forgetting; 24 and still without a license. It’s definitely on the agenda to get ASAP this year though, if nothing else it is becoming essential for work.

New Website

Well, Pixsoul has been out of action for some time and a lot has happened in the past year, so it’s about time to get it back up and running again…and keep it that way! I have just migrated my servers to a new Sydney based hosting company, so they are super quick (especially for Aussies!) and very reliable; I am very impressed with the level of service thus far.

I’m now working in IT as a Support Engineer, currently aiming to be a fully certified MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) by mid year and obtain some other qualifications in the 2nd half such as CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate) etc. So the site is going to turn a bit more into a profressional blog on what I am doing with myself at work and also in my own time, geeking it up and what projects I am working on. I will still have some elements of Graphic / Web Design to the site and still be offering those services freelance for small projects; as well as IT consulting.

So stay tuned, as this site will be transforming before your very eyes in the upcoming weeks…in time to document the spending of my Kevin 07 bonus on my home computer projects I have planned!
